Welcome to Les Loriots where you can enjoy high quality accommodation and food in the calm and tranquility of the Limousin countryside.

Les Loriots is named after the golden orioles which nest in our lakeside poplars each year and whose unmistakable calls can be heard all summer.

The house stands in its own grounds of shrubs flower beds and mature trees. Depending on the season you may find orchids or champignons, see carp jumping or kingfishers by the lake. At dusk the bats emerge from behind the shutters where they have their summer roosts.

For many years we ran a successful ski chalet in the French Alps. In search of a quieter life we have spent two years completely redoing the house and gardens! We bring all our hospitality and catering skills to Les Loriots and look forward to welcoming you.

The grounds are completely fenced so are quite safe for visiting pets and wandering children, both of which are welcome! There is a boulodrome for your use and several sitting areas are dotted round the garden depending on whether you want sun or shade.

Bedrooms

Both the newly decorated guest rooms are on the ground floor giving easy access to the terrace, gardens and lakes. Both have luxury en-suite facilities, one with a bath the other a shower. The bedrooms can be set up as double or twin rooms. One of the rooms can also be equipped with a child's bed or cot as well.

Tea and coffee making facilities are provided.

There is a spacious guest lounge with a sofa and easy chairs where you can relax with television or music or simply read a book.

Breakfast

For breakfast you can choose from cereals, croissants, pain au chocolate, fresh bread with butter and homemade jams and marmalade, eggs and tea, coffee and fruit juices.

Table D'Hotes

Our Table d'hote evening meal (advance notice required) features regional produce, whenever possible, with seasonal fruit and fresh vegetables and herbs from our own garden. The 4 courses can be served inside or outdoors under the shade of the silver birches close to the lake, and are accompanied by selected wines.
