What is Guide2Limousin?

Guide2Limousin is the 2nd website launched in France and is part of the Guide2TheWorld franchise network of websites. Launched in January 2009, Guide2Limousin aims to be the complete source of information for Limousin Region in France. Designed specifically for English speakers who are planning a holiday in Limousin, contemplating buying property in Limousin or residents of Limousin,

Guide2Limousin provides Property & Accommodation listings, Limousin News, Events in Limousin, Regional information as well as Classified listings, a Business Directory and Blog.

Why do I need Guide2Limousin?

Guide2Limousin is the one stop source of information for the Limousin region. From News to Events, Property to Holidays, Accommodation to Classifieds we've got it covered. With articles where information can be found all on one page, you can find the information you need without having to wade through different internet sites.

How do I post an ad if I already have a Guide2Limousin account?

Add an event, classified or other listing

 

 

 

You can only add a listing if you are a member, so if you haven't done so already, click on the JOIN US FOR FREE button and fill in the form.  You can only sign-in and add a listing when you have activated your account (by responding to the confirmation email).

 

 

 

Once you are an activated member, use the following instructions:

 

 

 

1.            Click on ‘My Account' at the top of the page.

 

 

 

2.            Click on ‘My Listings'

 

 

 

3.            Select the type of listing you want to add and click on it

 

 

 

4.            Click on the ‘add new' button

 

 

 

5.            Complete the form and click submit

 

 

 

It can take up to 24 hours for your listing to be activated, and if it does not appear in that time, click on feedback and send us a message.

 

 

 

Completing the form

 

 

 

Remember when completing the form to complete both the ‘brief' section and the main description (bottom).  Remember to use keywords in the title and brief sections that will enable search engines to find what you are selling.

 

 

 

For example, ‘Car for sale' could be enhanced by changing it to ‘Car for sale, Red Ford Escort Diesel, LHD, Vienne'.  This will enable search engines to list your item on a wider range of terms, increasing its chances of being found.

 

 

 

Cut and Paste description

 

 

 

If you want to cut-and-paste from another program, you need to use either the W (Word) or T (truetype) buttons at the top of the description box.  For example:

 

 

 

1.            Highlight your text in Microsoft Word

 

 

 

2.            Right-click and select ‘Copy'

 

 

 

3.            Toggle to the website (add-listing form open) and click the W button

 

 

 

4.            Press Ctrl-V to paste your text in to the box

 

 

 

5.            Click on ‘submit'

 

 

 

Your text will appear in the description box.  Check it over for spacing and when you are happy click ‘submit'.

NB: Whilst members can post to many sections completely free of charge there is an advertising charge for posting property and accommodation listings, enhanced business directory listings and banner ads throughout the site.

How do I post an ad if I'm not a Guide2Limousin account holder?

In order to post an ad on Guide2Limousin, or a blog posting, event or classified you must first sign up to become a member of Guide2Limousin. Membership is free and allows you to fully participate in the Guide2Limousin community.

How do I respond to a posting?

On all general postings there is a link in the ad that says "Send Email". Unless the posting has a phone number in the text, this is the only way to contact that person. Simply fill in the form to send that person an email and we will send it through Guide2Limousin. But don´t worry, they will receive it as if it came from you, and will be able to reply directly back to the email address you leave in the form.

How do I remove or change a posting?

Sign into your account, click on "My Listings" choose the section of the listing you wish to edit or remove. Once you've found the listing you wish to edit or remove click on the appropriate icon under the "Action" heading to the right of your listing title. This allows you to edit or delete the post.

What do I do if I feel the Discussion is inappropriate?

If you feel that a discussion is inappropriate or you have been abused on the site by other users then please contact us so that we can take appropriate action. Any Guide2Limousin member who we deem to have behaved inappropriately will be banned from using the site.

How do I post an event, classified or other listings?

Guide2Limousin welcomes contributions of all kinds from property purchasers, home movers, holiday makers, advisers or anyone with valuable experience to offer our visitors. If you would like to contribute to other areas of the site please email the editor - editor@guide2limousin.com

What am I allowed to post on Guide2Limousin

Guide2Limousin is a community site and values contributions from its visitors. We especially invite Guide2Limousin visitors to post information on upcoming events in Charente, Charente Maritime, Deux Sevres and Vienne, to post to the Blog and add comments to Blog posts from other users. We also invite our visitors to take advantage of free classified advertising on the site and for those with businesses to add their free listing to the directory. All the above can be posted directly by our visitors once they've become a member of Guide2Limousin.

 

Guide2Limousin also welcomes contributions of all kinds from property purchasers, home movers, holiday makers, advisers or anyone with valuable experience to offer our visitors. If you would like to contribute to other areas of the site please email the editor- editor@guide2limousin.com

What am I not allowed to post on this site?

Please refrain from posting content that:

• Violates any international or national copyright, patent or intellectual property laws.
• Is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, libelous, invasive or any information harmful to minors
• Is of a political nature and/or is critical of any government or municipal employee of the United Kingdom.
• Is pornographic or contains any kind of nudity, sexually explicit or perverse content
• Is racist or discriminatory towards any race, religion, creed, nationality, gender or any other grouping of individuals
• Impersonates another person, which includes but is not limited to: Guide2Limousin.com employees, political figures or public figures
• Includes identifying information about another person without permission
• Is false or deceptive
• Infringes on any patent, copyright or intellectual property rights
• Can be classified as: spam, junk mail, chain letters, pyramid schemes, or any unsolicited commercial advertisement
• is solicitation and is not in the designated area
• Includes links to other websites unless it is: (1) with expressed written permission of the Service (2) in the designated area for services
• That advertises the sale of anything illegal under the laws of the United Kingdom.
• That contains software viruses
• That disrupts the normal flow with an excessive number of messages
• That uses misleading contact details to disguise the origin

Obligations of the Customer

 

To pay the Price on immediate receipt of  invoice from Guide2Limousin and in any event no later than the date on which the Advertisement is to appear on the Web Site, as the case may be. If the Customer is booking advertising through the ecommerce system on the site then the advertisement must be paid before the advertisement is displayed on the site.

 

To indemnify Guide2Limousin.com against all losses, costs, claims, damages or other expenses that Guide2Limousin.com incurs as a result of breach by the Customer of any of these terms, or as a result of any third party claims which Guide2Limousin.com receives as a result of the Advertisements.

 

To acknowledge that Guide2Limousin.com retains full editorial control over all Advertisements and that Guide2Limousin.com will own all copyright in the Advertisements, save that Guide2Limousin.com shall not own any Customer Branding.

 

To provide all materials for the Advertisement (including, without limitation, GIF and JPEG files) in accordance with the procedures required by Guide2Limousin.com from time to time.

 

Obligations of Guide2Limousin.com

 

To use reasonable endeavors to ensure that the Advertisement features on the Web Site for the Duration, or, in the case of Newsletters, on the Release Date, and in each case in accordance with the Special Instructions.

 

To use reasonable endeavors to ensure that the Web Site is accessible to users of the world wide web for a minimum of 140 hours each week.

 

Guide2Limousin.com does not guarantee any levels of response to the Advertisement.

 

Rights of Guide2Limousin.com

 

The Customer warrants that the Advertisement is not Unacceptable. If Guide2Limousin.com at any time considers that the Advertisement is unacceptable Guide2Limousin.com may remove the Advertisement from the Web Site. In this case Guide2Limousin.com will not refund any part of the Price to the Customer.

 

The Customer warrants that the Customer Branding will not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.

 

Guide2Limousin.com reserves the right to change the format of the Web Site as Guide2Limousin.com sees fit. If Guide2Limousin.com decides to discontinue the Web Site then it will refund to the Customer that proportion of the Price that is equivalent to the proportion of the Duration left to run at the date of discontinuation.

 

Guide2Limousin.com reserves the right to terminate this contract with immediate effect by giving written notice of this to the Customer. If Guide2Limousin.com decides to terminate the contract then it will refund to the Customer that proportion of the Price that is equivalent to the proportion of the Duration left to run at the date of discontinuation.

 

Cancellations

 

Cancellations received prior to the Advertisement or a series of Advertisements appearing on the Web Site will be liable for an administrative fee of €25.00.

 

No refund or credit will be given for cancellations received after an Advertisement has appeared or after a series of Advertisements has started to appear on the Web and the Customer shall remain liable for the Price in such circumstances.

 

Liability

 

Guide2Limousin.com shall not be liable to the Customer for any indirect or consequential losses or damage suffered by the Customer including (without limitation) any loss of profits, contracts, revenue, goodwill, business, savings or opportunity irrespective of whether Guide2Limousin.com knew or ought to have known of the possibility of that loss.

 

Guide2Limousin.com shall not be liable for any losses, damage or expenses (including, without limitation, any costs of finding replacement advertising space) suffered or incurred by the Customer as a result of the Web Site not being accessible to users of the world wide web for any period of time.

 

Nothing in these terms and conditions shall operate to limit the liability of either party for any death or personal injury caused by its negligence or that of its employees. In all other events the limit of Guide2Limousin.com 's liability for any losses, expenses or damages incurred by the Customer in relation to this Agreement (whether in tort, contract or otherwise) shall be equal to the Price paid by the Customer to Guide2Limousin.com under this Agreement.

 

Guide2Limousin.com shall not be liable for any delay in or non-performance of its obligations under this Agreement to the extent that such delay or non-performance is due to any cause beyond its reasonable control including but not limited to the acts, defaults or omissions of suppliers or sub-contractors, failure of any telecommunications or power network, war, undeclared hostilities, terrorism, industrial action and acts of God.

 

Guide2Limousin.com will use reasonable efforts to comply with the Customer's requested start and end dates for display of the Advertisement but cannot warrant that these dates will be met.
