Description:

Owned by the des Monstiers family since the 13th century, the Château du Fraisse was largely destroyed during the 100 years war, and was rebuilt in the 15th century.  Further building was completed by the family who commissioned Italian architect Sebastiano Serlio to re-build the central part of the building, in the Renaissance style.

The château can be visited all year except between 15 December and 15 January.  The cost of a visit is 5€, although entry is free to children under 12.  The building is also a chambre d'hotes, with rooms ranging from 92€ per night, and there are also conferencing facilities available.
