Description:
Wolves had lived in this region for centuries until they disappeared completely in 1940. They were reintroduced to the animal park in the Forest of Chabrières, which was opened in June 2001. The park allows European and Canadian wolves to live in a semi-free environment, due to the sheer size of the enclosures, where they can be observed by both scientists and the general public alike.
The park is educational, helping the public to better understand what is essentially a feared predator, and to explode some myths legends. This includes both interior and exterior attractions, with all important viewing points to try and get a glimpse of the real thing.
