Limoges hosts web design contest this June as part of Webdesign International Festival

Thirty-five of the best web development teams in the world will go head-to-head in Limoges this June, with a first prize of 35,000 euros up for grabs.

Parc Ester in Limoges will host the Webdesign International Festival on with 3, 4 and 5 June 2010, incorporating the 24 hour non-stop final of the Webjam competition, where the 35 best teams will challenge each other to come up with an innovative solution to a new subject.

For the first time, this year’s competition is open to the general public and there will be a separate competition for college students.  Teams from 40 countries around the world are awaiting the results of the preliminary online short-listing exercise set to start in Tunisia this weekend.  International entries will be judged online on 12 and 13 February, and the full list of finalists will be complete after the judging has completed in Argentina on 14 March.
