Always a key date on the running calendar in Haute Vienne, this year’s les foulées de printemps in Bussière-Poitevine will be celebrating its 20 year anniversary when the competitors line up on 21 March 2010.

 

The event is always well attended, with circuits aimed at runners of all ages devised by the athletic club of Bussière.  This year there will be two adult races of 20km and 11km, with the day getting underway at 9h30.  Races of 3km, 1500m and 750m will be offered for younger racers, whilst a hiking trail of 10km will also be setting off at 9h30.

 

Registration will take place at 07h30, with the 20km race open to over 18s, the 11km race open to over 16s, the 3km race open to 12 to 15 year olds, the 1500m race set aside for 10 to 11 year olds and the 750m race exclusively for 5 to 9 year olds.  For the 3km, 1500m and 750m races entry is free of charge, although a doctors certificate is compulsory. 

 

For those interested in competing in the 11km or 20km races, registration costs 6 euros when booked in advance, or 8 euros on the day of registration.
