A new concept in shopping will come to Limoges (72, rue Paul Claudel, ZI Romanet) from 20 August, with the opening of a new Chronodrive store.

This subsidiary of grocery giant Auchan enables customers to complete their shopping online, and collect it later from the distribution centre.  Most products can be ordered, such as groceries, fresh and frozen produce, health and beauty products and more.  Customers have 24 hours to collect their purchases after ordering online, and their goods will be loaded into the boot at the depot.

Payment can be made either online, or at one of the seven checkouts on site either by cheque or card.  Prices are said to be as competetive as other hypermarkets, and the ‘premier prix’ brand of Auchan budget products will also be available at the store.

The advantage of this type of shopping is the saving of time, with the company claiming they can load goods and have you on your way in 5 minutes.  The depot is open 8:30 to 20:30 from Monday to Saturday.
