Owing to the success of the summer flights between London City Airport and Brive - Vallée de la Dordogne Airport, Cityjet plan to offer flights over the Christmas period, even though the route closes at the end of October.

The festive flights will give people the chance to do some Christmas shopping in London, and will be a handy addition for UK visitors to the south of the region.  Flighhts will operate on 17, 19, 24, 27 and 31 December, and 2 and 7 January.

Brive Airport has had an encouraging start since its inauguration back in June 2010, offering flights to London City with Cityjet, and to Paris Orly with Airlinair.  Jet2 recently announced a route from Manchester Airport for summer 2011, and a series of holiday charter flights will also operate from Brive next year.  These include Egypt on May 7, Jordan on May 10, Jerba on May 26, Crete on June 13, and Croatia on September 30.
