Plans revealed for luxury hotel and spa in Xaintrie, Correze

Plans have been revealed for a new luxury hotel and spa complex on the site of an old chateau in Xaintrie, Correze, according to Le Populaire.

The Sothys group, who created the Sothys garden in the same commune six years ago, plan to transform the Chateau de Vialaure into a spa, and build a new hotel and restaurant facility within the grounds.

The property was bought together with 230 hectares of land, and the company has ambitious plans to create a luxury complex.  The three story chateau dates back to the XIII century, and work to restore the building and create the additional facilities is expected to cost around eight million euros.

Work is expected to start on the site towards the end of 2010, with the chateau and spa expected to be opened to the public in 2013.  The whole project is expected to be completed by 2016.
