Description:
Saturday (27 June) saw the launch of the holiday season at the Lac de Miel near Brive-la-Gaillard, with the lake again being awarded the European Blue Flag for the quality of the beach and cleanliness of the water.
The popular tourist lake, situated between Tulle and Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne, achieved the blue flag award for the fourth successive year, and it is the only lake in Correze to achieve the award.
The 12 hectare lake is growing in popularity, and saw a 30% increase in visitor numbers last year, with people travelling from mainly northern France and Holland to enjoy the facilities on offer. For those wishing to holiday there, the camp site has installed a further thirty mobile homes as well as a new 2km footpath.
